Vocational Training/Higher Education
At Volunteer Service in Nepal, providing legitimate and sustainable opportunities for the children in our care is of paramount importance; therefore, we have pledged to fund vocational training or higher education to afford them legitimate opportunities upon leaving our homes. Even if we reunite a child with their parents, we are still prepared to provide financial support, if necessary, to achieve this ever-important goal.
Thus far, we have provided vocational education in of electronics repair and tailoring, and we are preparing to finance a course in global communications. As the children in our homes continue to grow, we, along with their teachers, tutors, and homes managers, constantly evaluate their aptitude and interest all fields of interest, to best provide training in the future.
We remain committed to ensuring that all the children in our care achieve self-reliance and independence. It is vital that we promise all children that pass through the doors of our homes that they will be furnished with the knowledge and skills that will allow them to achieve autonomy into adulthood and support themselves as self-sufficient, productive members of Nepali communities.
