How can I help?

Volunteer Service in Nepal invites you to help us to provide Nepali children with the care and support that all children deserve. By making a donation, you enable VSN to provide ongoing care to our current children, as well as those children who will come to us in the future. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, is important.

Your donations are needed for the following projects:

Shining Stars Children’s Home –
annual running costs for the home

31 sponsors for 31 children….

An annual donation of just US$1270 for one child would provide shelter, nutritious food, clean water, health care, quality education, loving support staff, clothing and more.

You can become a half ($635) or full ($1270) year sponsor.

Shining Stars Children’s Home –
building a new home

Our goal is to raise US$220,000 for designing, constructing, fitting and furnishing the new home. April 2010 is our target for completion.

Donations of any size are welcomed for this project.

Vocational Training/Higher Education –
for our older children

Our goal is to equip all our children with knowledge and skills to prepare them for life after our homes – helping them help themselves. They will be guided in making decisions on attending either higher education or vocational training.

Donations of any size are welcomed for this project.

Please note: as of 1 January 2006 VSN introduced a 5% administration charge on all private donations received in order to cover the increased costs of implementing and monitoring the expenditure of funds. VSN’s bank in Nepal deducts a US$5 fee from all international transfers received into the VSN bank account regardless of the transfer amount, as well as a fee for depositing any international cheques (checks).
